Project Feedback.
This Monday 28th May we have feedback on Project #2. See what the comments are from Dermot Byrne, as to how your project is progressing.

IPF National Club Championship.
Offshoot came 7th in the Colour Competition, 7th in the Mono and 8th Overall. There were 24 clubs competing.  This is an excellent result for Offshoot, as the clubs above us are recognised as regulars in the winners enclosure. We also came ahead of many clubs which have a much more competitive edge to their club organisation.

We will present the images before the start of the project critique on Monday night. Authors will be given the print of their entry to keep.

The panels entered and competition winners will be published on the IPF website in due course. We will include a link in this newsletter as soon as we become aware of the details.

Well done and thanks to all.

IFA 2019 Calendar Competition
IFA has teamed up with the Irish Farmers Journal and Irish Country Living to bring you the 12th annual IFA Calendar Competition.

What makes a winner?
The theme of this year’s calendar is ‘My Land’.
We are looking for fresh, clear and captivating photographs that show the magic or rural Ireland. The ‘My Land’ theme includes anything you think captures the beauty and magic of life in rural Ireland, including livestock, landscapes, farm buildings, farm yards and more!
A monthly winner will be chosen each month, with their winning entry published in the Farmers Journal! At the end of the year, an overall winner will be chosen, along with a runner-up voted for on the Irish Farmers Journal Facebook.

The Prizes!
If your photo catches the Judges’ eyes as one of the overall monthly winners, you can look forward to your picture being published in the 2019 IFA calendar as well as a two-night stay in a luxurious Irish Country Hotel with a full Irish breakfast each morning.
The overall winner will be chosen by our judges and receive a prize of €2,000. The second will be chosen by public vote on the Irish Farmers Journal Facebook page and will receive a prize of €500.

Submitting Your Photos
Digital versions are the preferred option and must be a minimum of 2 megabytes in size (decompressed). JPEG & TIF formats can compress file sizes so they may appear smaller depending on the amount of compression selected.

Pictures should be in landscape format and must come with a title, along with the name, address and phone number of the photographer. Also, it must clearly state where the photograph was taken. The more relevant the photo is to the time of the year, the better. Remember, this is for a calendar! Entry form and details available at https://www.ifa.ie/calendarcomp/

National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year 2018
