First, a big thank you to all those who attended and those who agreed to serve on the committee next year at last week’s AGM. The club couldn’t function without people putting in the time and effort needed to organise everything.

At the AGM we agreed to change our Annual subscription from €80 to €90 per year. The subscription for 2019 will be due from 1st January 2019 and should be paid by 28th February 2019. For those of you that want to get ahead of the game, payment can be made now at https://offshoot.ie/subs.

The meeting this coming Monday is always one of the most popular of the year – the Shoot With Me Showcase. A chance to see what everyone has been up to in their various groups.

Our final meeting of the year will be our Christmas Party on 17th December 2018 at the Horse & Hound in Cabinteely. All members are welcome. If you have any special dietary requirements please contact George Balmer at treasurer@offshoot.ie.

Offaly County Council Winter Photo Competition

Offaly Tourism Marketing (CLG) is delighted to announce our Winter Photo Competition, allowing the public to show off the best sites Offaly has to offer. As most people carry a phone or tablet with them in their daily routine, so the chance to take an inspired snap is always just a click / snap away.

We are calling on the people and visitors to Offaly to show us your favourite place in the county. That may be a locals scenic view from the backyard or a day-tripper's Sunday stroll along a woodland path. Get out and show off what we have here to offer.

All you have to do is to take the snap and send it to Visit Offaly via email or our social media channels by using the #offalywinter. We will collect and select a shortlist that will then be posted via our website and social media, allowing the public to select a winner.

Further details here.
