Welcome Back!

Welcome back, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Summer filled with fun photography adventures. Congratulations are in order to everyone for the successful exhibition – your talents and enthusiasm shone through. Thanks to Sara, Taryn and Steve and the members who helped to hang the images for all their work on the exhibition and the associated book.

Thank you also to the Committee for their efforts in organising our engaging Summer outdoor meetings. As we gather again, I’m eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see all of you and your captivating images as we continue our photographic journey together.

Here’s to another inspiring season ahead!

Many Thanks

Emily

Next Monday (August 28) – Members’ Images

Next Monday evening we will meet at St Brigid’s School at 8pm for our first session of the Autumn Programme. The plan is to project and review members’ images taken during our summer break. So if you would like to show some of your favourites, please bring them along in JPEG format on a USB memory stick – and we will do the rest!

Looking forward to seeing some great shots!

IPF Shield Competition – Images Needed Now

Offshoot intends to enter two panels of images (Colour and Mono) to the IPF Shield Club Competition this Autumn.

To get the process started, we are asking members to submit up to 5 colour and 5 mono images for consideration to be included in the club panels.

So please act now and submit your images to the following Dropbox link:

https://www.dropbox.com/request/MfgKdgvvk4w0TeJLtGB4

We request your images by 12 September to give us time to select the Club panels.

Thanks to everyone who has already sent images.

Time to Get Shoot With Me (SWM) Up and Running

Pat Divilly recently sent out an email seeking Group Leaders for the next round of SWM activities.

This is an opportunity for you to take an important part in one of the most popular activities in Offshoot.

The plan is to identify the leaders and their proposed group activity by the first week in September to allow the programme to get underway before the end of that month.

To volunteer to lead a group, please send a short email with the group title and a brief description to swm@offshoot.ie

Please Collect your Exhibition Images this Saturday

Our very successful exhibition in the Lexicon ends this Saturday August 26.

With that in mind, we request members to collect their images from the Lexicon (4th floor) on Saturday between 10 and 2pm. If you can’t get there in person, please arrange for a friend to collect your images

Visiting Provence?

Are you going near the Camargue and want to shoot horses (sic)?

If you are planning a trip to Provence why not get a photoshoot in the Camargue? We found Cecile Domens brilliant on our recent trip and we have no reservations about recommending her – she is a photographer and has the respect of the horsemen. She also has shoots from 3 hours to 3 days. Her website is https://cecile-domens-photo.com/
