This Monday – AGM
The OffShoot Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday, the 24th November.
Motions to the AGM needed to have been submitted in writing to the Club secretary by 17th November.
Last Monday - Open (Projected) Judging
Last Monday, Paul Stanley was our judge for our sixth and final competition in 2025, which had a theme of Open (Projected).
Paul Stanley (FIPF, EFIAP, ESFIAP) is a member of Dublin Camera Club. He is also the FIAP Liaison Officer for the Irish Photographic Federation, the primary contact for Irish photographers seeking FIAP distinctions. As such, Paul has vast experience in judging images, and this was evident in his approach on the night.
The members benefited greatly from his insights on the images shown and discussed, particularly regarding composition, exposure, sharpness, and the importance of making the main subject the brighter part of the image by toning down distractions.

Shoot With Me (SWM) Update
The SWM Showcases are nearly upon us, so all images need to be with your Group Leader so that they can be uploaded by Sunday, 23rd November.
The two showcases will be held on 1st and 8th December.
As a change from previous years, the maximum number of images that can be submitted from each group member is 3.
Always an enjoyable night and a big thank you to all participating members and group leaders, without whose enthusiasm these Showcases wouldn't be possible.
Outings
We may all be winding down to the end of the year, but the Outings committee, under the guidance of Eithne O’Leary, is still beavering away to arrange outings for your edification.
The next outing is to Bull Island for Sunrise on Tuesday, 18th November meeting at the main entrance at 10:30am.
