Next Monday - The First Shoot With Me Showcase
Shoot With Me is unique to OffShoot. We have so many fine photographers among our membership and SWM gives an opportunity to join with other members, often just to try something new. After weeks spent pursuing their group themes, it is now time to present the fruits of their labour so that we may all enjoy their success.
Not only do we admire their effort, but we can all benefit from their experience and learn. New techniques, a long-postponed project or just another twist of a long-forgotten tale. Come and see, come and learn, come and enjoy.
New Committee
The AGM was held on Monday 23rd November and the newly elected Committee is as follows:-

Congratulations to all on their election and we look forward to another great year for Offshoot.

Competitions
Our strapline says that OffShoot is “all about the image”. We’re not a camera club - we’re a photography club. So we’re going to test that statement for our first competition in 2026.
The competition is “Open” and it’s going to be “Projected”. That means you can pick any photo in your collection - nature, portraiture, landscape, street, monochrome or nude. Whatever! Dead easy - no need to print it or mount it. Just upload it in January.
There’s only one stipulation: it has to be taken on a SMARTPHONE. No Canons, Nikons, Sonys or any other fancy gadgets.

Outings
We may all be winding down to the end of the year, but the Outings Committee, under the guidance of Eithne O’Leary, is still beavering away to arrange outings for your edification.
The next outing is to HENRIETTA STREET on 6th December and CHRISTMAS LIGHTS on 13th December.

Christmas Party
The Christmas Party will be on Monday 15th December in the Horse and Hound in Cabinteely. We look forward to seeing many of you there to round off a great year.
