In 2022, Jimmy was awarded the overall winner in the national RTE “Eye on Nature” Award for Wildlife Photography.

New IPF National Photography Competition

The IPF has launched a new National Photography Competition which is open to all members of IPF-affiliated clubs – of which Offshoot is one.

All the details are up on the IPF website which can be found here:

https://irishphoto.ie/national-photography-competition/

They have a great sponsor this year in Birmingham Cameras with a fantastic prize: Nikon Z6 II camera + Nikkor 24-70mm f4.0 S lens.

The Shoot With Me Programme is underway

Nine Shoot With Me groups are now established and the group leaders will be in touch with members to get activities underway.

IPF Liaison Role Still to be Filled

We still have one important position to fill on the Offshoot committee – IPF Liaison. If you would be interested in volunteering for this role, or if you would like some more information about it, please contact any member of the committee as soon as possible.

“Car Boot Sale” Scheduled for 20 March

The next “Car Boot Sale” will be held on 20 March in the school hall. This provides members with an opportunity to sell any surplus gear which might have accumulated or, on the other hand, to purchase that item you have always wanted at a reasonable price.

Please send Emily (chairperson@offshoot.ie) a list of items you would like to sell with a brief description and the price you would like for them. Emily will circulate a list of items on offer before the sale evening so members can see what is available.

Call for IPF National Club Championship images

This competition is in May and is open for all members to take part in. Would you like to take part this year? If you do, please start thinking about what images you might like to enter into this competition.

The IPF National Club Championships is an annual inter club competition that is open to all clubs that are affiliated with the IPF.

The Club Championships competition is for photographers competing at any level with a limit of a maximum of two images per panel per photographer. In other words, two images on the colour print panel and two on the monochrome print panel maximum per photographer.

As usual please save your images in  JPEG format and name them with your Level Number, Membership Number and Image Title:
