The objective was to catch the sun rising over Dublin Bay and the greater Dublin area from the majestic heights of Three Rock Mountain. Compliments to members of the group who met in the dark and trekked up to the masts at 3 Rock on a cold and windy Saturday morning.
We were blessed with a good sunrise over the sea, but unfortunately the sun failed to light up the clouds massed over Dublin city. We next attempted a dawn shoot at Carrickgillogan, which is a peak just south of the Ballycorus mines. Again, we got a sunrise, but not a real light show.
