Club Outing – Mountain Bikes

This year we are repeating last year’s successful trip Mountain Biking. The park has several mountain biking trails which include jumps and challenging descents for the bikers.

There is a pedestrian path which initially goes around the ‘skills’ practice area and then heads up towards the trees and the main trails. There is no official event that day but, there should be sufficient people that day practicing, enabling us to take plenty of action photographs.

Staff and van drivers take a break between 12.30 and 1.30pm so it will be quiet on the trails during that time so the plan would be to meet in the café before 12.30pm.

The main GAP building near the car park features a map of the various trails.

There is also a coffee shop on site and good parking, which costs €2. This is paid at the barrier as you exit the carpark.
Please be vigilant at all times as you may need to cross some of the trails.
