A model night with a twist – no models! … the theme for the Club Night on Jan 14th was a practical photography evening for portraiture.
We had 5 members who very kindly brought in various studio light setups and all attending – including 8 prospective new members – got a chance to both pose for and take shots with each of the lighting setups. A great variety of kit was on offer to try out including a speedlite and umbrella, various studio lights plus an assortment of light modifiers like beauty dish, grids, softboxes and reflectors plus backdrops.
Plenty of advice was on offer and one or two members really got into the swing of things when striking a pose. Our regular models have no competition I’m glad to say.
