The theme of this Shoot With Me was ‘Sports Photography’ and the group enjoyed pitch-side access as official photographers for the two adult ladies teams from Foxrock Cabinteely Ladies GAA. Five matches were covered including the All Ireland Senior Club Semi-Final, All Ireland Senior Club Quarter Final, Leinster Senior Club Final, Dublin Senior Club Final and Dublin Junior Club Semi-Final.
It was the first time for some of the group to see a GAA match live and many had not seen ladies football played at this level before. So there was plenty of grit, determination, speed, power and skill on display for them to try and catch. As with all sports coverage, you can take many shots for very few keepers.
The group ended up with a good crop to choose from and the panel selected for the showcase is representative of the action and emotion at these games.
The panel comprises: The Solo (Marie Neville), The Dejected Goalie (Emily Gallagher), Under Pressure (Seamus MacKenna), Pushing Through (Robbie O’Leary) and The Hand Pass (Steve Crozier).
