SWM May 2016 – Colour Popping

8 June 2016 | Shoot With Me

We used Photoshop tools to process images so that the subject of interest ‘popped’ out of the picture in colour against a black and white background. This was an exercise in image processing rather than in image-taking.

We had a special street photography outing to gather images but also used our back catalogues to select suitable images for the treatment. The SWM exercise showed us how to do this type of processing and also helped us bed in the technique, by practising on a number of images before selecting our final ones for the showcase.

The members of the group were Maria Jose Gonzalez, Karen Rothwell, Patrick Quigley, Russell Burke & Hilda McInerney.
