Next Monday Night

Next Monday evening we are going to be back at the school. We will be critiquing fellow members' images. Please bring in any images that you would like feedback on, in any format you want.  These evenings are always useful and interesting. We look forward to seeing your photos.

If you are self-printing or have a print ready to use for the competition, please bring it to this meeting.

Steve will be bringing the images he has printed for members to this meeting, please come along so that we can make sure that we have the correct member numbers and levels on the back of the images.

We have some images from the last SWM left in storage, please collect your fantastic images.

Last Monday Night

During the last meeting before the most recent Bank holiday, we were very lucky to have Liam Haines talk to us about both his personal award winning A.V creations as well as showing us some other magnificent A.V's from other creators. Liam is a brilliantly educational and entertaining presenter and creator.

February 13th - Members Critique.

Please bring in any images that you would like feedback on, in any format you want.

February 20th - Practical night 'Table Top/Macro'

Please bring in any small items that you would like to photograph, or any light tents or small lights that you would like to use. 

February 27th - Printed 'Open' Competition Judging.

SWM Spring 2023 Launched!

If you wish to take part in SWM, please nominate up to three groups in order of your preference. Email your selection to swm@offshoot.ie.

The “lines will open” at 6:00PM on Sunday next, February 11^th .

Any emails received BEFORE THAT TIME WILL BE IGNORED.

Carboot Sale

The next car boot sale will be held on the 20th of March.

Please send Emily a list of items that you would like to sell with a description of the item and the price that you would like for it. Emily will circulate the list before the car boot sale so that people can see what is available.

Exhibition Photo Book

You can buy a book by paying at the meeting with cash or prepay (we will then reserve your copy for you) by making an electronic bank transfer to the Offshoot bank account. Please email the Treasurer at treasurer@offshoot.ie for the bank account details and to confirm when you have made your payment.

The reprinted version of the book is now available. So if you would like to swap your already purchased copy, please bring it along next time you are at one of our meetings.

2023 Annual Subscription Fees Now Payable

At the AGM on 28^th November, the annual subscription for 2023 was set at €90.

The subscription will be due by 28^th February 2023 but you can get ahead of the game by paying now.

Payment can be made by PayPal at https://www.offshoot.ie/subs or by bank transfer. Please email treasurer@offshoot.ie for BIC and IBAN details.

For new members that have joined since June 2022, your current subscription takes you to December 2023.

Here are the next scheduled meetings and events for the Society:

The first competition for 2023 will be "Open" which means you can submit any image you like on any theme and in colour or mono.

This is a printed competition for all levels.

If you are self-printing or already have a print and are entering the competition, please bring it to the club on Monday, February 13th. Judging will be on Monday, February 27th. The judge will be Ronan Harding Downes from Ronan HD Photography (www.ronanhdphotography.com) 

You may submit 2 images.

There is a great selection of images from the Shoot With Me, so there is an opportunity to enter those if you haven’t already used them in a competition.

We look forward to seeing a great selection of images and encourage all to participate especially new members.

There’s also the latest images published on Flickr that are displayed on the OffShoot home page.
