Club Outing – National Stud and Japanese Gardens

6 May 2026 | Club Outings

On 25th April, thirteen members of the club arrived at 9.30 am and went to the Gardens coffee shop before starting the day. The weather was very pleasant, warm with some cloud.

Everyone then dispersed around the stud looking for the foals and stallions in the outside pens. There were a few mares and foals together, and a few Thora-bred racehorses on display.

After about two hours, people again retired for refreshments before going outside to observe the various activities of the Japanese festival in the grounds of the stud. These turned out to be very entertaining, with the highlight being a demonstration of drumming. This went on for an hour or two.

After that, people completed the day by visiting the Japanese gardens before making their way out and home.
