Welcome Back

Wishing everyone has had a good Christmas and New Year break and is refreshed and energised for a new season with Offshoot.

Next Monday night, 6th of January is our first meeting of the year. As usual we will present an outline of events planned to date and maybe some aspirations of events and activity over the next few months.

Christmas and News Years Photos

We traditionally present a slide show of images taken by members over the holiday season.  Please click on this link (Link) to upload some of your favourite seasonal or not so seasonal images. You can also bring images on a usb key, but our preference is to have them uploaded in advance, to simplify logistics on our first night back after the break.

Car Boot Sale

Our car boot sale takes place on the evening of the 13th of January.

As Helen outlined in her recent email: "Just a reminder that the Car Boot Sale is back by popular demand on Monday 13th January so get sorting out the camera gear you don’t want/don't need over Christmas and I will be in touch again in the New Year to gather the information.  This is a great opportunity to sell unwanted gear and for those starting out in photography to pick up a few pieces of gear".

Watch out for notices on this.

Next Competition.

The hand-in for our next competition is the 27th of January. Further details later in this newsletter.

Photo Quiz Answer

D. Shutter Speed

The one exception here would be IF you had AUTO ISO set. If that was the case, the ISO will change when exposure COMP is changed.
