Next Monday Night – Portraits

Monday, the 3rd of April is a practical Portrait session.
If you have a lighting setup, please bring it along and we can practice our portrait skills. These evenings are usually fun, and social events.

Last Monday Night – "Wildlife"

Robbie O'Leary is a fantastic wildlife photographer and presenter. We were treated to a brilliant evening with Robbie and his favourite images. It was wonderful to see Robbie's images and to hear about the approach and philosophy behind his images. Congratulations to Robbie on the success of his coasters.

URGENT- Please Collect Your Printed Images

We are under pressure to tidy up our storage unit in the school. We have a significant number of unclaimed images stored in the school. These include prints from the recent competition, the last Shoot With Me showcases and also from earlier events – even before the Covid disruption.

So please come to collect your prints on Monday evening or arrange for another member to collect them on your behalf.

IPF Liaison Role

In light of the lack of volunteers for this role, the Committee has decided to collectively take on the job in the short term. If anyone feels like helping the Club and taking on this position, please contact us.

IPF National Club Competition – Call for Images

The IPF National Club Competition is an annual inter-club competition that is open to all clubs that are affiliated with the Irish Photographic Federation.

The National Club Finals will be held on Sat 20th & Sun 21st  May 2023 in Áras An Chontae, Mount St, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, and is open to all members of Offshoot to take part. So, if you would like to take part, please start thinking about what images you might like to submit to be considered for the club panel.

Submission details will be advised over the next few weeks.

April Studio Portrait Session

Following the success of the recent event, the Outings Committee has organised another specialist Studio Portrait session in April which is now fully subscribed.

Interesting Events

An Óige Photographic Group is hosting its 84th Annual Exhibition between the 26th of May - the 5th of June 2023, in the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9. All are welcome to attend.
