Whilst out on a boat trip from Swakopmund
Well caught
This pelican caught a fish thrown by a boatman. It turned it around to swallow and I was lucky catching the moment. Unfortunately the bill is slightly out of focus. Taken in Wallis Bay, Namibia

The Galactic Core rises above the sea to the south of Glandore. The 17 stones of the circle are arranged to create an axis in alignment with sunset on the winter solstice. Cuckoo-(Cuculus canorus)
Know for its recognisable song but not seen often.
The Cuckoo's behaviour is one of letting other birds raise their young.
Meadow Pipits and Dunnocks are their favourites and when the Cuckoo chick is born it is bigger that the host family chicks and can push the other chicks out of the nest.

The Weight of a Number
This name highlights the dehumanization of people being reduced to numbers, a key aspect of concentration camps. I felt at the time of taking this photo the fear of the poor souls who perished here between 1933 -1945. Barracks 13 evoked thoughts of the fear of the number 13 and how unlucky it is. Every Barracks number was unlucky. May all those souls Rest in Peace.

Full moon over the Himba
After some careful planning on a tour with Andy Mumford Photography and Hougaard Malan, we caught the full moon rising over some Himba ladies in North West Namibia

A 2017 night shot from European Square, or Plac Europejski, in Warsaw, shortly after it opened.
"Plac Europejski (European Square) is a relatively new spot on the map of Warsaw (it has been there since May, 2016); it is an architectural attraction, often visited both by tourists and the residents of the city. There you can find a stream gurgling in the distance, fountains with benches placed around them and very interesting specimens of architecture (including one of the highest office blocks in Europe, and the futuristic mass of Genesis restaurant). From the side of Grzybowska street, the square is framed with Art Walk passage, a 57-metre-long art gallery, in which various works of art are displayed all year round. In summer there are sunbeds, as open-air film screenings are organized here, whereas in winter a free rink is set up on this spot."

The Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta is located in the hills of the Val d’Orcia. Framed by two rows of cypress trees, the chapel was built on the spot where legend says the Virgin Mary appeared to a shepherdess.

Wat Pho Temple
The statue is a Buddha statue, located within Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok, Thailand. Wat Pho is renowned for its large collection of Buddha figurines, including the famous 46-meter-long gold-plated Reclining Buddha. This Buddha statue is being covered in gold leaf, a traditional practice in Thai temples.

Happy International Lynx Day
This is a wild Iberian Lynx. It was my 3rd attempt at trying to find one in Spain and it silently appeared out of the shadows. the early morning light was poor and I had to use a ISO of 10,000 and it was then I used Topaz denoise in post.
Wildlife photography can be a frustrating but joyful and it was really worth the 3 years of attempting to find the Lynx.
The Eurasian lynx was once quite common in most of Europe. Nevertheless, most original populations became extinct, or their abundance has been dramatically reduced in the last two centuries due to hunting, landscape changes, and habitat fragmentation that hinder migration.
