Club Outing – Three Waterfalls
On Saturday, we will visit three individual waterfalls in Wicklow. The first is at Ballinafunshoge. We’ll meet in the car park at 10.30 am (GPS 52.97518, -6.39178).
Next is Carrawaystick, where parking is limited so that car-pooling may be needed.
The third waterfall is Coolalingo (car layby area at GPS 52.96200, -6.34914). This waterfall is in a densely wooded area with fallen branches and slippery ground, so hiking boots are essential. A walking pole may also be helpful.
We’ll gather afterwards for coffee at the nearby Glenmalure Lodge.
Regardless of the flow from the waterfalls, bringing waterproof clothing for yourself AND your camera gear is essential, as spray and splashes will happen.
